Woman at the Well

This refers to the encounter of a Samaritan woman at the well by Jesus. Jesus was thirsty and asked her water to drink. She replied that Jews don’t have intercourse with Samaritans. Jesus then gave her a spiritual homily that those who drink my water will never thirst again. As an idiom: Samaritan woman means the dissemination of information.
